Best known for her classic roles in the 1982 soap opera, Yo sé que mentía, Damaris Lopez is a Puerto Rican actress who has made a name for herself as an exceptional personality in the movie industry, having made several appearances in notable Mexican soap operas.
Lopez stormed the movie industry at a very young age. She made her debut television appearance before the age of seven. Ever since then, the star has traveled to several countries and has worked with a good number of movie bigwigs. Her movie credits include –Mujer, Casos de la Vida Real, Camila, Amigas y Rivales, among others.
Actress Damaris launched her acting career at a very young age of six when she starred in Telemundo Canal 2’s viral soap opera – Cristina Bazán. Her role in the soap opera gave her the opportunity to share screen time with iconic Venezuelan singer José Luis Rodríguez, popularly known as El Puma, and Puerto Rican actress Johanna Rosaly.
In addition to acting, the actress also makes a reasonable sum of money from dancing. She was one of the top dancers that participated in the second season of 2011 Univision’s dancing show Mira Quien Baila. The Puerto Rican actress was born on May 18, 1971, in Puerto Rico Humacao, Puerto Rico. Born Adamari López Torres, she is the daughter of Luiz Lopez (a popular undertaker) and Vidalina Torres Montalvo de López. She has a brother called Adalberto López. She is Puerto Rican by nationality and belongs to the Hispanic ethnicity.
Damaris is yet to reveal further information about her family background, early life, and the institutions of learning she attended. However, we gathered that she studied at the University of the Sacred Heart Adamari, where she obtained a degree in Communications.

Actress Damaris was previously married to veteran Puerto Rican music artist Luis Fonsi. The duo shared the news about their marriage sometime in 2006 and subsequently exchanged marital vows on June 3 of the same year.
Barely three years into their marriage, the couple shocked their fans by announcing their decision to go their separate ways. In a joint statement they made on November 8, 2009, Lopez and Fonsi announced that they’ve decided to divorce. The pair officially called it quits on November 8, 2010.
A few years after her first marriage failed, the actress began dating Toni Costa. The two eventually got engaged in 2014 in Punta Cana, to everyone’s excitement. In the same year, precisely on September 20, Damaris announced that she and Costa were expecting their first baby together. The baby girl arrived on March 4, 2015 and was named Alaïa Costa.
Ever since Alaia was born, Lopez has maintained a low profile.
